TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najjar here on Monday vowed that Tehran would retaliate against the last week terrorist attack on an Iranian nuclear physicist
"Of course, we will certainly take the revenge of this beloved brother on the Zionist elements. We will not easily let them escape the Islamic Republic of Iran"s grip of justice," Najjar said in reference to the assassination of Tehran University Lecturer Masoud Ali Mohammadi.
The 50-year-old professor was killed in a booby-trapped motorbike blast last Tuesday in front of his house in Qeytariyeh neighborhood in northern Tehran.
The minister added that Iranian security authorities are investigating the case and have found good leads, and noted, "At present we are studying the hidden parts and angles of the incident through a security and intelligence outlook."
President Ahmadinejad earlier said that the Zionist regime of Israel was responsible for the Tuesday terrorist attack on Ali Mohammadi.
The report of experts on the explosion scene indicates that the assassination was conducted through the methods of the Zionists, Ahmadinejad said.
In similar remarks, Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani also took the US and the Zionist regime responsible for the terrorist attack on the nuclear physics scientist.
"We have received some explicit information in the previous days suggesting that Israel"s Intelligence Agency (Mossad), in collaboration with CIA, was seeking to stage a terrorist attack in Tehran," Larijani said last Wednesday.
